Do you have questions or comments? Are you looking for someone to work with on something design, circuit, sound, craft, sustainability, or fabrication related? I'd love to hear from you!
I teach people how to take apart and rebuild for a better world.
I am a Creative Technology teacher at Marymount School of New York. My courses combine art, design, fabrication, physical computing, and programming. I manage the Upper School fabrication lab where I work collaboratively with teachers at all levels and from all subject areas to bring making to classrooms around the school.
Before discovering my passion for teaching, I produced a design research radio show about radio for my masters thesis at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program. Prior to this, I worked in college radio at WREK for five years as producer of a weekly live music show and Program Director. I studied and worked in industrial + interaction design.
In my personal work, I design scenarios and fictions that question progress and consumption by embedding technology into life in novel ways, championing the handmade, subverting systems, and using waste as a material. These principles now guide my teaching.
